Talking about my Jewelry Journey!

Love is… Steeler Nation

This weekend was great on so many different levels.  Not only did my best friend Meghan plan a fantastic Mexican dinner at her house where I had just enough Margarita’s to slur my words, but my beloved Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Ravens to move on to the AFC Championship.  Then to top it all off the Patriots’ lost meaning the Steelers would have a home game for the AFC championship. The Millers and half of the Danburg’s (Me) were a very happy bunch this weekend.

The other great part of this weekend was church this morning at Watershed.  Currently we are week 2 into the highly anticipated Stogies and Stiletto’s series.  I thought today’s message was really interesting, what love isn’t.  To quote the message today, Love isn’t attraction, dependency or bargaining.  Love isn’t remembering the wrongs or rights.  What I toke from this message today came mostly from the last phrase, Love isn’t remembering the wrongs or rights.  I took that as Love is present.  Love isn’t what we were like in the past or what we want to be in the future.  Love is right now.

I am guilty of living in the future.  I always find myself saying things like “I can’t wait for XYZ” or “won’t it be cool when this happens.” Things are really good in my life right now, definitely the happiest I have ever been, but I am curious as to why I am always looking to the next thing in my life.  I think it is time to start living in the present.  I have heard other people talk about living in the present and never really understood that statement until recently.  I think it is a good mantra to live by.  Living in the present.

So be it. Tonight I am relishing in the Steelers’ victory, loving that my hubby is right here beside me, and thinking about all the blessings current in my life right now.  It’s a good state of mind to be in!
