I am happy to show off the designs I made for Sarah Beggs’ earring designs for her bridesmaids. Sarah is getting married to Jon Wilson next weekend, September 20th in Pembroke, Virginia. I am so excited to go to the wedding. I am staying with 3 of the girls that are in Sarah’s wedding party. The four of us and our dates will be staying together in a cozy little cottage. When we get back next weekend I will post pictures of the wedding on facebook and on here. Sarah’s bridesmaids will be in strapless, cocktail length dresses. They are a rich merlot color and the neckline is sweetheart. The wedding is a fall wedding so I know that Sarah will be tying in all the beautiful colors from the leaves and the mountains. Let me know what you think of the designs…

Two More Weddings, Just Around the Corner
September 3, 2008
As September sneaks upon us most people would tend to believe that wedding season is coming to an end…NOT SO! I have two weddings that I am designing for one in September and one in December to keep me busy. Sarah Beggs is getting married on September 20th to Jon Wilson in Pembroke, Virginia. With fall being my favorite time of the year (mainly because my red hair matches the color of the changing leaves) I really am looking forward to this wedding. Sarah has chosen a strapless sweatheart dress in a beautiful shade of Merlot for her bridal party. I am designing the earrings for her 4 bridesmaids and one flower girl. Just like I did for Carolyn’s wedding all of the earrings will be different. Sarah already picked the designs that she liked and decided who will get each pair. But because I have friends in the bridal party who may be checking this site I can’t post pictures just yet. When we get closer to the wedding I will share though. br> br>The other wedding I am designing for is Erin Dunne to her fiance Jimmy. Erin was referred to my site through Jessica Claire’s photography site. She saw the earrings that I designed for Carolyn’s wedding and contacted me to make 8 pairs for her bridal party. Erin sounds like such a sweet girl and I can’t wait to send her all the jewelry I create for her party. When Erin and I emailed she voiced her frustration over trying to find classy, elegant jewelry to match the beautiful gowns she chose for her bridesmaids. I am so happy to help her design the look that she wanted. I will be working on her earrings as soon as my supplies arrive, so stayed tuned for those! br> br>If anyone else is interested in having me design earrings, necklaces, bracelets, etc. for your wedding party feel free to email me at krissy@designsbykrissy.com.

Carolyn and Chad Got Hitched!!!
August 26, 2008
Look at the beautiful bride! My friend Carolyn just got married on August 23, 2008 in Wilmington, NC. I had the honor of being a bridesmaid in the wedding as well as making the jewelry for us girls (see the jewels below). If you are wondering who the photographer of the beautiful picture of Carolyn was her name is Jessica Claire. Make sure you check out her website because she does some absolutely stunning work. I sent the link to her site to my mom and she said I need to book her for my big day (whenever that may be). When the rest of Carolyn’s photo’s are posted I will update the blog to let everyone know.
Next wedding is Sarah and Jon in Virginia. I am also doing the jewelry for that event. I will post some pictures of what I am doing when it gets closer to the big day. I don’t want to spoil the jewelry surprise for the girls in the wedding.

Carolyn Donnee’s Bridesmaid Jewelry
August 15, 2008
I am happy to show off the earrings and charm bracelets that were designed for Carolyn Donnee’s wedding to Chad McIntyre. The wedding is next weekend, August 23rd and will be located in Wilmington, NC. I just so happen to be one of the lucky bridesmaids! Carolyn chose to have different earrings for each bridesmaid and a charm bracelet that ties the whole look together. She is keeping the earrings a surprise for her bridesmaids, but since I designed them I was in on the secret. The thing that I don’t know is which earrings I will be wearing. Please let me know what you think about the designs and if you or someone you know is getting married have you considered custom jewelry for those most important to you on you wedding day?

New Designs on the Way…
June 23, 2008
Over the past couple of weeks a heat wave has taken Charlotte by storm and what better way to beat the heat then by wearing jewelry that is even hotter. I made this red coral teardrop necklace for a friend’s belated Mother’s Day gift. There is no better time that now to be designing jewelry because the colors are so vibrant and beautiful. I also made another necklace that looks similar to this in purple. So wedding season is really getting under way now. I am almost done with the jewelry for my friend Carolyn’s wedding, but I can’t post it here yet, but soon because the wedding is only 2 months away. But I will also be designing the jewelry for my cousin Rachel’s bridal party. Her wedding is very soon, August 1. Then I will also be doing the jewelry for Sarah Beggs wedding, which is in September. I will be posting more frequently now that I have a great new camera. Now it is easy to photograph my designs, so get on my case if I don’t post more often.

First Bride of 2008, But Many More to Come
March 13, 2008
Two weeks ago I met with Emily my first bride of 2008. She and her fiance are getting married June 7th at Holdem Beach. The funny thing about that date is it is the same as my parent’s wedding anniversary. I thought that was a good sign since my parents have been married for almost 28 years. Anyways, Emily is going to be awesome to work with. She is your perfect little southern belle having a casual wedding on the beach. So to go along with her team of the beach she has asked me to make a couple of necklaces and pairs of earrings with little Swarovski Starfish beads. I just got the items I ordered in a couple of days ago. I can’t wait to show her what I have created so far. Once I show her she will hopefully find a design that she likes and I will start making all the items for her 7 bridesmaids and 1 junior bridesmaid. Plus I am making her some really beautiful and sparkly earrings. They are gorgeous! I just hope that she likes them too. So I will put pictures up.

Back in the Queen City
February 26, 2008
After a great weekend in Pittsburgh I am happy to be back in Charlotte, where the weather is much better than the weather in Pittsburgh. While in the Burgh there was about 3 inches of snow on the ground in addition the wintery mix that brewed up over the weekend. Meghan came with me and we had a lot of fun! We went shopping, out to dinner, and to two really fun Clubs/Bars. On Saturday we met some other friends at the Waterfront to catch a comedy show at the Improv, then went to the Dueling Piano Bar, Sing Sing! The piano bar was so much fun! Supposedly Charlotte is getting a Dueling Piano bar in the highly anticipated EpiCenter. Can’t wait for that!
So this upcoming weekend I am doing a private show with Laura Vossberg for our friend Jenny. I don’t know many of the details except that we are donating 15% of the money that we make to help fund a trip for the kids that Jenny teaches. Should be a good time, except for the fact that I have a lot to do to get ready for the event! Everyone should be able to guess what I have to do every night after work this week.
Also I am meeting with a bride-to-be about designing some jewelry for her bridesmaids. Emily (the bride) was referred to me by Laura’s boyfriend Brian. It’s so nice to have friends that have faith in what you do, enough faith in fact that they recommend me to someone I haven’t met yet. I am really excited to meet with Emily on Thursday and get to know a little about her and her upcoming wedding. Should be a good time.
Well I think that is all I know for know. Keep me in mind if you or one of your friends are getting married in the near future. I am always happy to help in any way I can. I think I will be helping out with my friend Carolyn’s bridesmaids jewelry (and I get to be a bridesmaid, so you know the jewelry will be awesome) and also my friend Sarah’s wedding jewelry. Don’t worry, once my website is live I will give you all a sneak peak! Ta Ta for now! ~Krissy
